The new super-efficient 4-cycle and 2-cycle outboard motors literally sip gas at trolling speeds. At engine speeds around 1000 RPM they consume as little as 0.3 GPH. It accurately measures flows from 0.3 GPH all the way to 25 GPH ---  the maximum consumption of a 250 HP outboard engine. This means that every drop of gas the engine burns is counted.
