Ultrasonic Weather Station

The Airmar Ultrasonic Weather Station informs you of instantaneous changes in the weather. With our new, intuitive PC software, you have your own personal weatherman on-board the boat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

While at home, log on to your vessel’s computer to see the current weather conditions at the boat. Before leaving the dock, anticipate weather fronts by checking the wind speed and direction, temperature and barometric pressure. Check the weather history graphs as the Airmar Weather Station takes readings from the previous day, even while the PC is turned off!

While underway, the true wind data can be sent to the autopilot to correct course, and get you to your destination more quickly and efficiently than ever before.  While docking, true wind data displayed on the On-board PC or chartplotter will make docking your vessel in high wind situations a breeze.  The easy-to-use PC software has multiple screen views and backgrounds to fit your needs. The wind tunnel-tested, compact sensor with removable cable makes for a simple installation. The built-in GPS can serve as a primary position source or backup to your electronics suite.

Many marine instruments on the market cannot interpret and display all of the NMEA sentences that the Ultrasonic Weather Station is capable of outputting.  For this reason the Weather Station is supplied with a Windows based software program that is completely customizable and capable of displaying all of the data from the sensor.  This software also allows custom programming of the data sent to and from the Weather Station.

Connection Examples

Weather Station to PC
When connecting the WS-PB100G to a PC only, a WS-USB converter is required.  The weather station attaches to the USB box via a plug in cable (sold separately) and an included 6' USB lead then outputs data to the PC.

Weather Station to PC and NMEA
When simultaneous connection to both a PC and NMEA device(s) is desired, a WS-USBN combiner box required.  The Weather Station attaches to the WS-USBN box via a plug-in cable (sold separately).  The combiners included 6'  USB lead outputs data to the PC.  The installer supplies the desired length NMEA output cable, and battery power is supplied by the included power cord.  Up to three additional NMEA devices can be attached to the WS-USBN.

Weather Station to NMEA
When Using the WS-PB1000G with NMEA 0183 instruments, the connector is removed and the cable is wired to the instrument input or a combiner/multiplexer.
